The story
Moving to a new city means making one of your largest decisions in a market you cannot yet read. PolandRent exists for that moment: an asking rent on the screen and a quiet question about whether it is reasonable.
It gathers asking-rent information into tools that answer the question directly. Rent Check sets a specific asking rent against market data for comparable places. A rent index and city and district pages give the wider picture, with methodology and dated data so a reader knows what they are looking at.
What it does today
- Rent CheckCompare an asking rent with market data for the same kind of place.
- Rent indexAsking-rent information with methodology and dated data for context.

Where the thesis is being explored
A data product that one person can keep current.
Data businesses traditionally need people to collect, clean, explain and publish. PolandRent explores how much of that loop can live in systems: gathering, structuring and presenting asking-rent information so that the operator spends their time on method and judgment rather than maintenance.
The same structured surface can carry more than one product. That is the part of the thesis being tested here: whether a single operator can hold a living dataset and the tools built on it.
- How much of a data pipeline can run unattended?
- Where must human judgment stay in the method?
